Baseball and Hot Dogs
Baseball season is here! Are you thinking about hot dogs too? There’s just something about sitting in a stadium, watching your favorite team, and enjoying a hot dog. If you haven’t had a chance yet to enjoy a Mariner Dog grilled to perfection at Safeco Field, here are a couple of ideas to enjoy in your own backyard:
California Dog
1 package Cloverdale Franks
1 cup pico de gallo (ready made or fresh)
1 avocado
1 package hot dog buns
2 T cilantro (garnish optional)
Prepare franks as directed on package. Place in bun and dress with pico de gallo and slices of avocado. (You can also use pre-made guacamole instead of fresh avocado if not available.) Sprinkle with freshly chopped cilantro.
Chili Dog
1 pacakge Cloverdale Franks
1 can chili (pre-made)
1 pacakge hot dog buns
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Southwestern variety)
8 T onions (optional)
Prepare hot dogs using preferred method. Heat chili. Spoon chili over hot dogs along with cheese and onion. Enjoy!
