Easter Ham

Are you hosting your friends and family for Easter this year? Looking for a simple to prepare, surefire-flavor-standout for the centerpiece of your Easter meal? If so, we’ve got an easy-to-prepare recipe that looks (and tastes) like it took a whole lot of time to prepare!

Apricot Glazed Ham

1 Whole Cloverdale Teardrop™ Ham

1 6 oz. can of Apricot Nectar

1 12 oz. can of Apricot Pie Filling or Topping

2-3 T. ground mustard

1/2 cup brown sugar

A pinch of ground nutmeg and ground cloves, if desired
Place Teardrop™ ham on rack in shallow roasting pan. Bake, uncovered, in a 300 degree F oven for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until meat thermometer registers 145 degrees F.

Prepare glaze in the last 30 minutes of baking time. In a small saucepan, combine apricot nectar, apricot pie filling, ground mustard and brown sugar. Also add a pinch of nutmeg and/or ground cloves if desired. Cook over medium heat until thickened and bubbly, stirring constantly. Approx. 5-10 minutes.

Remove Teardrop™ ham from oven and brush with glaze. Continue baking 15-20 minutes or more, brushing occasionally with glaze. Slice and serve. Excess glaze can be served at the table. If preparing a 1/2 Teardrop™ ham, simply cut the ingredients in half.

Teardrop™ hams are an Easter meal tradition for many families. What are some of your Easter traditions?
