Grilled Ham on Rye

12 oz. thinly sliced, fully cooked Cloverdale Ham

4 oz. Swiss cheese, sliced

8 large dill pickle slices

8 slices rye bread

8 t hot-sweet mustard, such as honey mustard

3 eggs

6 T milk

2 T butter

Spread 2 teaspoons mustard on 4 bread slices. Top with 3 ounces ham, 1 ounce Swiss cheese and 2 dill pickle slices. Top with remaining bread.

Beat the eggs and milk in a small bowl until well mixed. Pour into pie plate. Dip sandwiches into egg mixture, turning carefully to coat both sides.

Melt butter in a large non-stick skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Add sandwiches and cook about 3 to 5 minutes, turning once. Cook until cheese is melted and bread is lightly browned.
