Tangy Two-Cheese Pesto and Grape Tomato Picks

16 fresh mozzarella pearl balls

¼ cup prepared pesto

6 slices thin-sliced Cloverdale Tangy Summer Sausage, cut in quarters

16 grape tomatoes

16 rounds of provolone cheese

8 basil leaves

8 skewers

 

In a small bowl, pour pesto over mozzarella.  Stir to combine.

Using a skewer, layer one slice of Tangy, one tomato, one piece of provolone, one basil leaf and two mozzarella pearls.  Repeat process on skewer.  Continue to layer skewers to make 8 skewers.

Recipe may easily be doubled/tripled.  Refrigerate until ready to serve.

HINTS:  Larger chunks of Tangy or ham may also be used.  Drizzle with balsamic drizzle for extra flavor.  Recipe may be made one day prior to when you’re planning to serve.
